According to the Church’s director of public affairs in the Pacific Area, Richard Hunter, “the Church’s Facebook page provides Latter-day Saints and others interested in the Church a meeting-place where Church beliefs and activities can be discussed in an informative and friendly way.”
The top post on the Facebook page (as of the time of writing of this article) is about what visitors can expect when they come to a Mormon chapel for the first time. The post links to an article on the Church’s Newsroom website that includes a virtual tour of a Latter-day Saint church building.
